First, exactly what is a problem child? Being a parent, I understand that all children misbehave at some point. Fighting over a toy, crying and shouting is all part of being a child - it’s natural for them to act like this.

A problem child is someone uncontrollable. Usually, they habitually lose temper, start fights with other kids and argues with adults over almost everything. They have this notion they are equal to adults; so they will not listen and will talk back when reprimanded. 

Experts say, it is important for parents to act swiftly with a problem child. Don’t hold back to the point of not being able to take it anymore before reprimanding the kid. Doing so would take you at least twenty to thirty minutes before acting, when experts say you’d need to reprimand your child about the behavior within a few minutes from the moment he did it.

For your defiant kid, it’s also important that you be mindful when taking them to public places. That does not mean you must keep them inside the house at all times, but you must be extra vigilant when they’re around people. Children with this behavior are frequently uncontrollable, and you don’t want them to push other kids in the playground, do you?

Playground - this is on the top of our list. Parents must be vigilant when bringing a problem child in a playground because a lot ofother children are also playing there. Add this to the fact that playgrounds can double a child’s energy and you’ve got a deadly mix. Make certain to be close to your daughter or son and to watch him at all times. This is to ensure that you catch him in time in case he fights with the other kids.

Church - people visit church to pray in a solemn manner, but this does not mean that you must stop bringing your kid to church completely. For toddlers, you might like to bring them something to get their attention just like a toy or food. For older kids, it’s better to go when there’s also a service being held for youngsters so he gets entertained by stories and songs.

Daycare - daycare is yet another place where parents should be extra vigilant. Like the playground, children socialize in the daycare center, improving the likelihood of fighting over anything. It’s advisable to go with your kid for the first couple of days until he gets used to this new environment.
